Point d’Orgue is a Heritage Interpretation Centre housed in a listed building of the ancient abbey of Marmoutier. Its aim is to showcase and add value to an outstanding part of the Alsace heritage, the organ.
This innovative site offers unexpected new experiences, combining new technologies, hand-on interaction and experiments…
Interactive screens and object handling will reveal thousands of years of history, surprising technology, fascinating music, ancestral expertise and naturally the peerless heritage of Alsace. Go on a journey too with a collection of 200 flutes from all over the world.
> Self-guided visit
Standing in the centre of a unique instrument which reveals that which is normally hidden provides a totally new experience and takes you to the heart of music. In Organum XXI the young and old are both spectators and players. Hand-on interaction and experiments reign supreme.
> Guided visits organised at fixed times
Point d’Orgue is also a living place: throughout the year you can find temporary exhibitions, concerts, stories in music, workshops and unusual events …
